German fashion designer Karl Otto Lagerfeldt also known as Karl Lagerfeld, born in Hamburg, Germany, known for not only his notable designer resume, but also for his trademark white haired pony tail, dark sunglasses and eccentrically unique fashion style, usually in black. Lagerfeldt is one of a kind. He is not only a fashion designer, but also a photographer. Lagerfeld has worked with the industries most notable fashion houses, including Chloe, Balmain, Charles Jourdan and many more. At the moment Lagerfeldt is the head designer for Chanel and Fendi, as well as his own label Karl Lagerfeld and many notable collaborations. Lagerfeld currently resides in Paris, France and is recognized as one of the greatest designer in the coture fashion industry.

It’s been recorded that the Ancient Greeks wore animal hair socks during the 8th Century BC. However, the earliest pair of socks survived is from Egypt, from 300-500 AD. The socks were of Naalbidding and considered split toe socks for sandal wearing.

The trends for this fall 2014 are about comfort, colors and lot’s of prints and odd materials. The cuts are on the less ordinary side. On the print aspect, I am seeing a lot of florals, polka dots and chevrons. As for the materials I am seeing tons of knitwear and tweets. Overall all the looks seem to be more on the vintage, schoolgirl side, baggy and oversized clothing, tons of layering and lofty capes. The colors for fall are less bright than we experienced this summer, more on the calm and darker side. But once you combine them together, the contrast will be amazing, fun and very soft. Have fun mix and matching, you will have plenty of options this fall!
